Vitiligo Organization for Youth, also known as VOFY, is a non-profit organization that advocates for kids and teenagers who have been diagnosed with vitiligo.

 

Vitiligo is a skin disorder in which the pigment is lost from areas of your skin, resulting in whitish patches. Currently, there is no definite cure for vitiligo.

 

Our mission is to connect the kids and teenagers who do have vitiligo. We can be allies for each other and raise awareness. There are thousands of people who hide their vitiligo because they are so scared of how people are going to treat them and if they are going to be judged. However, VOFY promotes embracing your vitiligo, not hiding it.
